THE STUFF SHE LIKES TO WRITE ABOUT There aren't any specific topics I love writing about, except for one: injustice. I realized that in many of my texts and stories, so I didn't choose this topic consciously, it's more that it just turned out to be one of my favorite things to write about. Other than that I can only say that I love writing dramatic stories or funny ones. I'm not into this whole romantic stuff, but of course love is nearly always a topic in my stories. I tried to write fantasy stories more than once and I fear I'm just not able to deal with a whole new world, to create a whole new world. Also lurid tales aren't really my thing since I'm one of these people who get scared very quickly. I once read that the things you love to read about are also the things you love to write about and for what I experienced so far it's true. I love reading emotional books or watch dramatic movies and I also like books from comedians or other funny stories. And it makes sense, doesn't it? You know so much more about genres you like and love to read than about those you don't like, so it's easier to create one of those stories on your own. THE DECLARATION OF INTENTION I'm not writing because it's fun or because I love it. Of course that's part of the reason, but not the most important one. There's a reason why injustice is one of the main things I write about, why it's nearly always a topic. And this reason is the most important one why I write. I want to show people the injustice in this world. I want to make them understand how it feel to be treated injust. I want to make them think "How can something like this happen in this world? How can someone do that to somebody else? How can we - the most intelligent species on earth - let something like that happen to someone?". I want to make them do something about it. WHY "BREAKING CLOUDS"? Breaking Clouds actually is part of a song from 'Vertical Horizon'. It's called "Echo" and there it says: "can I open up your eyes only when the clouds break?". In the context of my reasons for writing this means that people mostly need something bad to happen or something that really touches them to start doing something against injustice in the world, but this should actually be the exception, not the rule. |
I love it. And I hate it.
Yes, it is that simple.
